Before and After

What's the difference between the $500 wedding photographer that hands over a disc of the image and what we do? The differences are as vast as night and day. One critical difference is that we put all of our best images (in some cases up to 900) through an extensive editing process. Up to 10 different editing and retouching operations are performed on each image. Here's the first of several examples we'll show you from a recent wedding:

Here are a couple of examples of how are image creation and editing set our pictures apart from the casual photographer with a digital camera. In both cases, the photo on the left was the one taken right off of the camera. Not bad, huh? ...Until you compare it to the edited image on the left. You'll see greater clarity, intelligent cropping, much better color balance, and overall more vivid images. You'll also notice the perspective has been corrected in the image on the right, eliminating the distortion (keystone effect).

Here's another example of images processed using HDR (High Dynamic Range) software that balances exposures and makes the image look like we had an elaborate lighting set-up. No lights were used. Five different exposures were taken to achieve the correct lighting and balance. This method saves an extraordinary amount of shooting and set-up time.
