This orchid, taken at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum's annual show, is a composite of 20 images. A Canon 100mm/f2.8 Macro lens was used as well as a Bogen/Manfrotto 454 Slider. Images were spaced at 2mm distanced. They were later merged in Photoshop CS5 and compiled using Focus Stacking. After cropping, the image was put through OnOne PhotoTool's Quality/Tone Enhancer and the bottom part of the image was processed using a Monet effect.
This technique will be part of the workshop I'm teaching at the Twin Cities Photography Group studios on March 29th.
