Before-After and Why Architects Hire Professional Photographers

I spent several days in the New York area shooting more images for Red Lobster. The following photos provide some stark contrast:

1. The redesign not only refreshes the restaurants but the new upscale look remakes Red Lobster's image. The before and after shots are dramatic!

2. Although the "before" shots were only shot with documentation in mind, the contrast between those and the views I replicated are remindful that there is a huge difference between project photography shot with modest equipment and skill compared to professional images created with the best equipment, cutting edge processing, and a skilled eye.

All photos were taken with the Canon 5D MII camera, 24mm and 45mm Tilt/Shift lenses. Up to 9 images were combined using Nik HDR Efex Pro with some further tweaking in Photoshop to create the final images. Nik Dfine was used for noise reduction.

Be sure to click on the images to enlarge them so you can see the detail.
The first two images are from the Times Square restaurant which is built on 3 levels.

The next two images were from the Brooklyn location.
